2. BEFORE YOU TAKE IMODIUM
Do not take IMODIUM
IMODIUM should not be applied to children from 2 to 6 years without prescription and monitoring.
Do not use IMODIUM:
in the presence of blood in the stool or if you have ahigh temperature;
in case you found the inflammation of the colon (such as ulcerative colitis and pseudomembranous colitis,incurred as a result of antibiotic treatment);
If your doctor has told you that you have a condition called delayed passage through the gut. Examples ofthis condition are constipation or bloating;
If you know that you are hypersensitive to the drug;
in children under 2 years of age.
If in doubt, ask your pharmacist or doctor for advice.
Pay particular attention to the use of IMODIUM

If you are sick from AIDS and are treated for diarrheawith IMODIUM, upon the occurrence of any signs ofbloating, stop taking IMODIUM and tell your doctor.
Reduced liver function
Notify your doctor if you have liver problems, you may need a strict medical supervision during treatment withIMODIUM.
Intake of other drugs
Notify your doctor if you are taking other medicationsthat inhibit peristalsis of stomach and intestines (eg,anticholinergic drugs), since these funds could
significantly strengthen the effect of IMODIUM.
Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines,including those obtained without a prescription.
IMODIUM intake with food and drinks
The capsules should be taken with liquid.
