Aciklostad is used:
-For the relief of pain and itching in frequentlyrecurrent Herpes infections with the formation ofbubbles on and around the lips (recurrent Herpeslabialis caused by Herpes simplex virus).
2. before using Aciklostad
DO NOT USE Aciklostad:
-If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to acyclovir or any of the other ingredients of the Aciklostad.
The mucous membranes (e.g., in the oral cavity or eye)to avoid local irritation.
Pay particular attention when using Aciklostad
If you have a serious damage to the immune system,inform your doctor before beginning treatment.
How to use Aciklostad
Always use Aciklostad exactly as you said, the treating physician. If you are unsure of something, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The usual dose is:
Apply a thin layer of cream on the affected skin area 5 times daily every 4 hours.
Method of application:
Use cotton tamponče to apply the cream as needed tocover the infected skin area.
When you apply a Aciklostad make sure that you havecovered not only the visible manifestations of herpeticinfection (bubbles, swelling, redness), but alsoneighboring areas. If you make the cream by hand, be sure to wash your hands before and after itsapplication to prevent further infection sore skin area (e.g. bacteria) and of transmitting the virus to othersunaffected or even mukozni skin areas.
Note: in order to achieve greater success in treatment,Aciklostad must be applied at the first signs ofherpesnata infection (burning, itching, discomfort, redness).
Duration of application
The duration of treatment is usually five days. In individual cases, the treatment may continue until the bubbles catch the crust or heal. However, the duration of treatment should not exceed 10 days.
